This is to be my new account on DeviantArt, and will be my primary site of activity from now on. I will continue to review and possibly work on my old DA account, lucky--me, should I feel that any pieces of work that I do are better suited to be placed within it.

So why the new account? It is often necessary to shed a name or semblance in order to further advance. I felt that creatively it would suit me to create a new identity for myself under this name.

The name is a reference to the West African mythology associated with the god anansi or ananse, and his personality. Ananse was a trickster god who, through quite possible his most fruitful display of his wit, tricked the West African over-god, Nyame, into giving him all of the stories. African culture being, at that time, a stricktly oral culture, this ment that Ananse now controled all facets of history and culture. The intricacies of his trickeries, his stories, and his plans were similar to the marvolous complexity of a spiders web. He would weave truth and fiction into such a complex mess that even the principles of a story wouldn't realize they were being made a fool of.

The name that I have choosen for this account is intended to reflect my planed emphasis on my writing in my future work. I do also intend to continue photography, however I wish to broaden my works through my love of writing.
